Is there a difference between benzoyl peroxide and hydrogen peroxide?

I wanted to know since benzyol peroxide is supposed to cure acne, will hydrogen peroxide? Like what's the main difference in thier purposes?

I guess basically will they work the same on acne or will one work better? Is there a difference between benzoyl peroxide and hydrogen peroxide?
Benzoyl peroxide is not the same thing as hydrogen peroxide. I have never heard of hydrogen peroxide being used for acne. It's mainly used to clean out cuts or wounds. I would definitely stick with benzoyl peroxide for acne. If this does not seem to be working for you, you could also consider a product with salicylic acid.Is there a difference between benzoyl peroxide and hydrogen peroxide?
HP is a bleaching agent used in cleaning products; sometimes also used to cleach hair (but not advisable). You NEVER apply this on your face.

BP is the one you want to put on ur face to shrink zits.
Benzoyl Peroxide hastens the removal of dead skin, and works by helping to clear the plugged pores which lead to pimples and acne. It's a powerful chemical and should only be used sparingly, along with a light moisturiser to keep the skin healthy as benzoyl will dry your skin.

A great range in Australia is Cetaphil. The makers, Galderma make Benzac which is a benzoyl product, in 2.5%, 5%, and 10%, and Cetaphil which is a gentle, ph balanced cleanser and moisturiser range.

Hydrogen peroxide is a simple chemical that was once used as a mild antiseptic, it foams and bubbles a little when placed the skin. It's now been shown to do more damage than good when used on broken skin, actually reducing the skins' ability to heal.

Benzoyl is def better for acne, but remember to use a gentle cleanser with it, and a light moisturiser, even if you have oily skin.
