Cleocin gel
differin gel
cephalexin
so I have acne and all, which everything is working but I didnt use the Benzac wash in 2 days bc it burn my skin. I lather and rinse it, yet my skin had chemical burns comparable to a sunburn and it did peel. I tried proactiv before which irritated my skin. Not so badly, and you keep proactiv on all day. However, could this be an allergic reaction? Or maybe just sensitive to the Benz... or just bad in combination with the other products. I got a dermy appt. Weds. She say just use purpose soap and the other meds until then. What test can she do to see if I am allergic too?How do you know if you are allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide?
That stuff used all together will cause your skin to be very sensitive - shame on your dermatologist for not explaining that to you!!
You may have an allergy to benzoyl peroxide, so you should probably get back in touch with your doc. To rule it out yourself, you could stop everything for a week, then just try the Benzac wash and see if you still have the burning.
How long are you going to be on the cephalexin? This one surprises me - normally doctors stick with minocycline or doxycycline because of the anti-inflammatory properties. I'd get that clarified, too.

My face has excessive oil and 10% of Benzoyl Peroxide does not work well on my face?
Hi,
I've been using like the Maximum Strength Formula to stop my face from getting oily but it didn't seem to work well. Not damaging, but just effectiveless. Any recommendations or homemade-products are appreciated.

I have very oily tzone and I use benzoyl peroxide to help prevent pimples not to dry my skin up. You have oily skin, that wont change, but if you use harsh products to help keep the oil down your glands see that your skin is drier than normal and work harder and end up producing more oil! I would use toners all day and feel less oily for a few hours but then I would be oilier than I was before... tone with a cooling toner a few times throughout the day and use the oil absorbing sheets, those I think help alot with shine!

Consider taking a shower both before you go to bed and as soon as you get up when you get a bad break out. I use Neutrogena's Deep Clean Scrub in the shower. Maybe even look for a clay mask you can put on and rinse off before bed. I put on Differin cream on my blemishes before bed.
Also remember to change your pillow case daily! It holds the oils from your face.
Remember to keep your oils from your hands and hair away from your face as much as possible.

well you'd be better on the antibiotic minocycline. I doubt benzoyl peroxide would cause cancer but its pretty sore on the face...........
Top tips against cancer:
1) Avoid high alcoholic content drinks like wine...stick to beers
2) If you've reflux get it sorted...acid in the oesophagus will induce cancer over time
3) If you've ulcers/ helicobacter...get it sorted...precancerous
4) Sunblock
5) Eat vegetables several times daily to act as antioxidents
Toothpaste!!!!!!! It works wonderful! Just sit in ur shower with the cold water OFF and let the steam get to ur face! After about 15 minutes put toothpaste on your face. If you did this correctly it will feel like your face is going to get frostbite leave it on there as long as u can and then rinse off with super cold water this will close your pores! ONLY use the paste dont use any that is gel unless its crest whitening expressions cuz thats what i use and it works super good!

I agree about the accutaine... I took it and it worked great for me! It is only for very seveare acne though or sistic acne which is what I had. Some say that it causes depression, I had no problem with that... I think that by the time most people start it they have been though so many treatments that have failed they are already down about their skin.
